We are now including pressure relief valves with all our Watermakers…. but what do they do?
Pressure relief valves (safety relief valves) are designed to open at a preset pressure and discharge fluid until the pressure drops to acceptable levels.
The optimum pressure for our Watermakes to operate at is 800psi. Although all our components are tested to a much higher pressure it is possible, in extreme circumstances, to damage the system in the event of misuse or accidental overload.
To avoid damage to the system we now include an inline pressure relief valve. This valve is set to 900Psi so should the user accidentally over pressurise the system the valve will protect the unit from damage.
Unlike most of our competitors we are now including these valves at no extra cost to our customers!
