Why do I need a Watermaker?

If you enjoy boating outside of a marina then you know that having plenty of water is no small thing. Personally, my boat is kept on a swing mooring meaning a mains water connection is not possible.

For years I dragged water back and forth in my tender. I even installed a tank and a pump enabling me to carry nearly 100L at a time back and forth from my local yacht club. It was great fun…. at first.

It took a whole morning to fill my tanks… then just a weekend for the family to empty them! I needed a better solution. A Watermaker. I started to google. Then abandoned the idea… How much?!!.... seriously….. There had to be a better way.

There was!

This thing has literally changed my life on board and it’s saving me not only time but money! Buying water and the fuel to transport it gets expensive so this thing was a no brainer.

We can go anywhere and live at anchor for as long as we like without having to worry about the level in our tanks. I can wash my boat, rinse the water toys and stand in the shower for as long as I like… it really is life changing! I just wish I’d done it years ago….
